The founder of this dynasty was King Hotepsekhemwy, peaceful in respect of the two powers, There were no tombs found for him, but judging from a hidden secret gallarey, near the pyramid of unas at Saqqara, with a clay jar-sealing bearing his name, it would appear that this funerary monuments was located in that area.
History:
The line of the succession of the second dynasty is quite complicated and uncertain, we do not know exactly weather there are political disturbances during the period of Kebh, or there is a family relationship between the kings of the first and the second dynasty.
What we are sure of is that through the second dynasty the country was not stable, but we do not know the actual reason for the disturbances, except that it might be of religious reasons between seth and Horus which created problems reach its peak during the second half of this dynasty.
The most interesting for the kings of this dynasy that they used to built their palaces after their fourth year of reign and temples which were dedicated for different deities, especially god Sokar, who was the greatest new deity of the new capital from the tablets of king lists that we have.
While through The reign of Perpisen there were forms of Political and religious revolutions as he abandoned his loyality to the falcon Horus, and started to worship the jackal of god Seth. Not only that but he cancelled the Horus's Title from his name and added the jackal Seth instead.
Finally it should be mentioned that the worship of god Horus was returned through the reign of Khasekhemwy as this king tried to stop all possibilities of civil war, especially from the north.
