Day 1: Arrival Istanbul

Your guide will meet and assist you at Istanbul Airport. Then they will escort you to the hotel. Check into your room and enjoy an afternoon free to relax or explore Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2: Istanbul Old City

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up for a tour of the Old City of Istanbul. Visit the Topkapi Palace, including treasury section, the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome, where chariot races and the Byzantine riots took place. In the afternoon you will have free time in Grand Bazaar with its 3,500 shops.  Return to your hotel and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 3: Ankara

After breakfast at your hotel, drive to the capital of Turkey, Ankara. Visit the Anatolian Civilization Museum, the Temple of Augustus and Ataturk's Mausoleum. Drive to your hotel for dinner and overnight in Ankara.

Day 4: Ankara - Cappadocia

After breakfast at your hotel, continue to Cappadocia with a rest stop in Aksaray before a short continuing to Ihlara valley to see impressive Byzantine rock carvings and frescoes. Check into your hotel for dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 5: Cappadocia

Enjoy a full day excursion to Cappadocia to see the surreal landscapes that make these region famous, the spectacular red rock cones and troglodyte churches and homes dating from 4000 BC. Visit Uchisar, Goreme and Zelve, then Avanos to visit one of its famous pottery workshops. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Tarsus - Adana

After breakfast at your hotel, visit Kaymakli, an underground city carved into the rock. Then drive to Tarsus, the birthplace of St. Paul. See St. Paul's Well, Cleopatra's Gate and the ancient city. It was near here that a the great fish of the Bible was said to have spit Jonas upon dry land next to Adana. Check into your hotel for dinner and overnight Adana.

Day 7: Antakya (Antioch) - Mersin

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a full day excursion to Antakya (Antioch). Jesus' followers were first called Christians here (in Acts 11:26). Peter, Paul and Barnabas preached here. Visit St. Peter's Grotto and the exquisite Mosaic Museum. View the old city of Iskenderun before returning to Mersin for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Anamur - Alanya

After breakfast, depart westward along the Mediterranean shoreline, a famous coastal road. Take a lunch break in Anamur. See the city of the Monophystie Archbishop of Seleucia. Check into your hotel for dinner and overnight in Alanya

Day 9: Antalya

After breakfast, continue to the ancient city of Side, the old port where Paul, Barnabas and Mark landed during their missionary journeys. Later they sailed from here to Antioch. Then visit Perge where St. Paul preached when arriving from Cyprus (Acts 13-14) and to Aspendos with its magnificent theater. Next drive to Antalya for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 10: Pamukkale

After breakfast, proceed to Laodicea which was condemned by St. John in Acts (4:15). Drive to Hierapolis, now called Pamukkale, where St. Philip was martyred in the 1st century AD. Walk to the Necropolis and famous Avenue of Tombs. Check into your hotel for dinner and overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 11: Philadelphia - Sardes - Kusadasi

After breakfast, visit one of the seven churches of the gospels and the remains of the Cathedral. Continue to Alashehir to visit the remains of a church. Visit the capital of the ancient Lydia with the Temple of the Cybele and Diana which became later a church. Continue to Kusadasi. Check into your hotel for dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 12: Ephesus - Kusadasi

After breakfast, drive to Selcuk. Visit the monastery of St. John and Ephesus, the best preserved ancient city in the Turkey. See the Library of Celsius, the stadium where Paul preached (Acts 19), and the theatre. Return to Kusadasi for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 13: Izmir (Smyrna) - Pergamum

After breakfast, drive to Izmir (ancient Smyrna). Visit the St. Policarp church in Izmir then continue to Akhisar, an ancient trading post that connected Troy and Sardes. Visit Bergama (Pergamum) and its acropolis high above the plain. See the pagan temples and Altar of Zeus, which made the city famous. Drive to your hotel for dinner and stay vernight in Pergamum.

Day 14: Pergamum - Nicea - Istanbul

After breakfast, there will be a long drive to Istanbul through Iznik (Nicea) where the Nicean Creed was formed. Check into your hotel and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 15: Final Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport for final departure.
