Enjoy Anzac day tour in Turkey and commemorate those who fell on the battlefield at Gallipoli. Visit Istanbul and explore the fantastical rocky landscapes of Cappadocia. You will also visit the ruins of Hierapolis, the calcium terraces of Pamukkale and the former Greek village of Sirince.

Day 1 : Friday 17th April: Arrival Istanbul

You will be met at Istanbul International Airport. Transfer to your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. Check into your room and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening you will meet your guide and the rest of your group. Overnight Istanbul.

Day 2 : Saturday 18th April: Ankara, Cappadocia

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up to depart to the nation's capital, Ankara, to visit Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of Turkey's first President Mustafa Ataturk, before continuing on to the surreal landscape of Cappadocia. Check in your hotel, dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 3 : Sunday 19th April: Cappadocia

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up to enjoy the Goreme open-air museum, Pasabag, Uchisar castle and one of the fascinating underground cities, where early Christians hid underground from Roman persecution. Back to your hotel for dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. Optional: evening show featuring Turkish folklore and belly dancing show.

Day 4 : Monday 20th April: Konya, Caravansary

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up to leave Cappadocia and head west along the ancient Silk Road. Along the way you will visit Sultanhani Caravansary and the Mevlana Whirling Dervish Museum in Konya. Check in your hotel, dinner and overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 5 : Tuesday 21st April: Pamukkale, Hierapolis

After breakfast at your hotel, you will visit the ruins of Hierapolis and the calcium terraces of Pamukkale before ending up in the resort town of Kusadasi. Check into your hotel for dinner and overnight Kusadasi.

Day 6 : Wednesday 22nd April: Ephesus, Sirince

Begin the day with a visit to the site to the Temple of Artemis and a guided tour to the ancient city of Ephesus. You will have the chance to learn how Turkish carpets are made by hand before an afternoon visit to the formerly-Greek village of Sirince, famous for its fruit wines. Turkey produces some of the finest leather goods in the world and many are made here before branding in Italy. At the end of the day you will enjoy a leather goods presentation. Overnight Kusadasi.

Day 7 : Thursday 23rd April: Pergamum

You will drive along the Aegean coast to the ancient city of Pergamum to visit the magnificent Acropolis of Pergamum, its impressive temples and Altar of Zeus, a library that made Pergamum renowned cultural and political centre in its time.Overnight in Ayvalik.

Day 8 : Friday 24th April: Troy, Cimenlik Fortress

After breakfast at your hotel, you will visit the ruins of Troy before continuing to the Canakkale port where we will visit the minelayer, Nusret, and Cimenlik Castle. In the afternoon, you will cross the Dardanelles to arrive on the Gallipoli Peninsula for a BBQ lunch before heading straight to Anzac to secure a good spot on the grass for the long night ahead.

Day 9 : Saturday 25th April: ANZAC Day at Gallipoli

Wake up before sunrise to the Anzac Dawn Service. Take some time to commemorate those who fell during the battle. You will also attend the Australian and/or New Zealand Memorial services. Check into your hotel for some rest.

Day 10 : Sunday 26th April: Gallipoli

Early morning departure to visit the trenches and tunnels from the battle, Anzac Cove, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, Johnston's Jolly and The Nek before returning to Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 11 : Monday 27th April: Istanbul Old City

After breakfast at your hotel, you will enjoy a fully guided tour of the old city of Istanbul. Visit the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the Hippodrome. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 12 : Tuesday 28th April: Final Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport for final departure.
