You meet your guide in the port and they will drive you to Kizkumu to spend some time relaxing in the water. There is a long sand bar at this beach that stretches straight out into the water. You can walk out into the middle of the bay without ever getting wet above your legs. There is a local myth about the creation of this sandbar that says that a young girl was attempting to find a way across the water by filling her skirt with sand to create a path before her. After relaxing at Kizkumo, you will continue on to Turgot, a traditional village that is supported by fishing, agriculture and craft making. The village is famous for its peanuts. You will have lunch in the village and visit the mosque and some of the local house to learn about peoples’ lives there in the country before ending the tour and returning to your ship in Marmaris. The tour will last around 5 hours.

Best Time to Visit Turkey
Spring and autumn are the ideal times to visit Istanbul and the inland regions. The Aegean and Mediterranean coasts are typically like the Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers. As you travel further east in Turkey the extremes in climate become more pronounced with very hot and dry summers reaching highs of 40°C and bitterly cold winters with heavy snowfall.
