We will meet you at Istanbul Port to enjoy a full day guided private tour of Istanbul Jewish sights and Galata Tower. First we will visit Ashkenazi Synagogue, famous for its imposing facade with three oriental arches and octagonal rosette windows. Continue onto Ahrida Synagogue, the oldest synagogue of Istanbul. We will also visit the Kamondo Staircase, built in the nineteenth century on the order of the most prosperous family in the Jewish community and Zulfaris Synagogue, built in 1671 and presently being restored as a museum of Turkish Jewish life. Free time for lunch near Taksim Square. Then continue to Neve Shalom Synagogue, where the Turkish Jews attend their prayers, weddings and funerals. We will see Galata Tower from outside which dominates Istanbul’s skyline since 1348. At the end of the tour we will return you to your ship.
