Morning pick-up from your hotel in Cairo, via air-conditioned vehicle, to drive on the way to El Fayoum. It is the largest oasis in Egypt, situated 90 km south- west of Cairo, 75 km from Giza Pyramids. Fayoum in the old ages was the county number 21 among the Egyptian counties. Fayoum consider one of the governorates of North Upper Egypt region. It is characterized by water wheels which make El Fayoum different from any other governorate. Drive until you reach the checkpoint at Kom Oshim.
Enjoy a refreshment time in the Shakshouk Hotel, then go to Lake Qarun. It is considered the oldest natural lakes in the world, the third largest lake in Egypt and the rest of lake Old Maurice. It is considered an interior lake which is not related to any sea and an area of around 53 thousands acres in Fayoum Down, where you will enjoy the bird watching. After that you will be driven to Wadi Al Rayan. It is located on the middle of the Fayoum desert, about 140 Km from Cairo. It is now totally covered by two gigantic fresh water lakes, the two lakes have different altitudes, and therefore a waterfall was created where they meet. Visit the birds' Natural Reserve. Enjoy your lunch then back to Cairo.
