Day 1: Arrival at Muscat

Your tour manager will meet & assist you at Muscat International Airport after luggage & customs area, and then he will escort you to your hotel and overnight in Muscat.

Day 2: Muscat By Night City Tour

we shall proceed to see the Sultan's Palace, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century during their rule of the coastal cities of Oman. The next stop is the Bait Al Zubair Museum. Opened in 1998, Bait Al Zubair Museum is located in the old city of Muscat. The museum is a small townhouse that has been converted to display the old archaeological findings and Omani traditions such as Omani artifacts and collectables, including a group of conventional weapons, jewelers, clothing, household items and some old models representing Omani rural and urban environments. From here you will drive to the Corniche. The Corniche is near the main Mina Al Sultan Qaboos port of Oman and the Muttrah souk. A short halt will allow you to visit the souq and stock up on all the typical Oman souvenirs that are sold in almost every shop! .The souk offers a wide range of goods, the Omani Dagger or Khanjar and beautiful silver handicrafts and Pashmina shawls. The guide will escort you on the stroll through the souk and assist wherever needed to obtain the best deal. At night all the ships in the harbor are also illuminated, you will drive to the Grand Mosque for a photo stop. The Mosque is beautiful by night. And then drive back to the hotel.

Day 3:Muscat - Grand Mosque - Nakhl - Rustaq - Al Thowara

The first stop is the Grand Mosque, a most beautiful architectural piece of work. The Mosque was built over a period of 6 years from 1995 to 2001. The main chandelier is made of pure Swarovski crystal and the carpet adorning the large prayer hall was woven by experts, made out of pure Persian silk. The Mosque exterior is constructed with quality Rajasthani Sandstone and the main halls as well as the smaller prayer rooms are adorned with the finest Italian Marble. Definitely a must see!. Proceed to visit Rustaq and Nakhl. Rustaq fort is famous for its hot water springs. The hot springs (Ain Al Kisfa) are said to have medicinal value and in the olden days people used to travel far and wide just to take a healing dip in the waters and experience the nostalgia of days gone by. Then the Al Hazm Fort in Rustaq. The fort is known far and wide for its beautiful gates which are adorned with verses from the Holy Koran and flower etchings. A picnic lunch box / lunch at local restaurant en route. The next stop is Nakhl which also has the highest fort in Oman. The fort is 350 years old and is set in a gorge, surrounded by a mountain enclave. In 1990, sympathetic restoration work began, using traditional building materials and period furnishings. Proceed to the Al Thowara Oasis where one can witness the source of the natural springs. Drive back to the hotel.

Day 4: Muscat - Amouage Factory Bahla - Jabreen - Nizwa

Breakfast and check out Depart from Muscat and head to Nizwa region. Short stop to visit Amouage factory.It is a niche luxury fragrance house that draws inspiration from its birthplace of the Sultanate of Oman, infusing reference points from a rich and colorful heritage that fires the imagination of all who come into contact with its wonderful products. Visit the Nizwa market and fort, which has been strategically built atop a hill overlooking the ancient village with its colorful domes and bustling market below. Spend some time in this traditional city and visit the interesting fort with the round tower and the museum and stroll thru the Souq. Nizwa Fort, built by Imam Sultan bin Saif al Ya'arubi in 1668, is the biggest fort in the Arabian Peninsula with an exterior diameter of its circular structure of 150 feet, and over 115 feet high. Halt the Bahla fort (photo stop), the oldest and first Omani fort to be built in the Islamic style. A picnic lunch box / lunch at local restaurant en route. We proceed on to the Jabreen castle, the finest of Oman's castles built during the late 17th century, which became a seat for Omani education and learning. The castle displays beautiful ceiling paintings and intricate wood carvings. It has two huge towers with walls two meters thick.it was built by Bil'arab bin Sultan, an Imam of the Ya'aruba dynasty during the 17th century. It is one of the most impressive forts in the Sultanate and the details and carvings in the rooms and balconies are most elaborate. The tomb of Imam Bil'arab remains within the fort.

Day 5: Nizwa - Wadi Bani Kahlid - Wahiba Sands

Drive to Wadi Bani Khalid. The pools has clear deep cool waters, where the shade of the palm trees is inviting for a relaxing siesta! Catch a glimpse of the pretty villages scattered all over Wadi Bani Khalid as they cling precariously to the slopes of the rugged mountain- side (Please bring along your swim- wear, the clear waters of the Wadi are very inviting! Also please note that light clothing and walking shoes may be more suitable on this trip). Picnic lunch will be served. Later on, we drive to Al Wasil Petrol Station. A 4wd vehicle will pick us up and drive to undulating golden sands of Wahiba. Stunningly sculpted by the wind, the Wahiba red- gold sands sprawls over 15,000 sq km. These apparently lifeless sands have sustained the Bedu tribes for over 5000 years. In the middle of the desert stop to visit a Bedouin home.Enjoy bashing and the dramatic sights of the sunset while based on a high dune (Camel ride optional). Sleep sheltered by Bedouin style accommodation under a roof of starry skies and enjoy the once in a lifetime. Enjoy a traditional Arabic meal, Omani coffee and dates.

Day 6: Wahiba - Sur - Coastal Road - Muscat

After Breakfast, Start your journey back to Muscat. In Sur visit the fishermen's harbor and witness the fishermen in action. Proceed on to the Dhow building yard. Dhows are traditional Omani wooden fisher boats that are even today, built by hand. Continue via Qalhat where Bibi Miriam’s tomb (photo stop). Drive to Wadi Tiwi - another spectacularly deep and narrow gorge carved out of the mountains, running between towering cliffs right down to the sea. Proceed to the white beaches of Finns and picnic lunch will be served. Also see the Bimah Sinkhole, a natural hole in the round created by a collapsing mountain. The hole is filled with blue-green sea water. Finally we pass through the village of Quriyat, guarded by its 18th century fort and return to Muscat.

Day 7: Departure

Departure Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Drop off at Muscat International Airport for departure.
