A Memphis Tours driver will pick you up from Muscat Port to experience Wahiba Sand. The trip will take you into Oman’s interior to Wahiba Sands via via Bidbid and Ibra. Wahiba Sands is a vast area of dunes rising up to 200 meters and stretching as far as the eye can see. There is also a variety of unique desert plants and animals that you will see as your 4x4 drives up and down through the dunes. Your guide will take you speeding across the sand to show you just how much fun the desert can be. The desert is the traditional home of nomadic bedouin, who can still be seen traveling across the sands with their camels. After a picnic lunch in the desert, you will stop by a bedouin home for tea and to admire the handicrafts produced in the area. A lunch in a local camp will be provided and ladies have the chance to get some henna painting done. This tour requires moderate activity, including some short walks. You will be returned to the port in the mid-afternoon.

Best Time to Visit Oman
Oman’s climate is typical of the Arabian Peninsula with blisteringly hot summers and Mediterranean winters. During the summer months almost the entire country is hot; the thermometer can often nudge up into the 40°C. The winter months are pleasantly temperate, daytime temperatures rarely climbing much above 30°C. Temperatures are considerably cooler in the mountains than on the coast
