Your trip will start with a drive to Quriyat, a stunning fishing village south of Muscat. You will be able to see the village and the beautiful harbor before continuing off of the paved roads to Bimah Sinkhole. This limestone crater was formed many years ago when a cave collapsed, but today it offers a beautiful setting for you to enjoy a swim. After relaxing in the water for a short time, you will continue to Fins Beach. This will be another chance to swim and take in the stunning beauty of the pure white sand. Later you will drive to Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi (‘wadi’ is the Arabic word for valley), where you will stop to enjoy a picnic lunch in an oasis, before continuing toward Sur, another coastal village where you can still see fishermen working in the harbor. In Sur, you will visit a shipyard to see how the traditional Omani fishing boats (called dhows) are built before heading to you hotel to relax until night falls. Around 21:00, you will assemble in the lobby to prepare to visit Ras Al Jinz, a beach near the hotel where sea turtles lay their eggs. You will be able to see the hatchlings making their way to the ocean from approximately 21:00 to 23:00 (and then again around 04:00 in the morning if you are interested). Returning to your hotel after witnessing this incredible natural phenomenon, you will spend the night. In the morning breakfast will be served before you head to Wahiba Sands to off-roading on the dunes. You will have lunch in a local restaurant as you make your way back Muscat where your trip will end with your guide dropping you off at your hotel in the early afternoon.

The winter months are pleasantly temperate, daytime temperatures rarely climbing much above 30°C. Temperatures are considerably cooler in the mountains than on the coast
