Marrakech and Desert 5 Day Trip will take you from Marrakech over the Atlas Mountains to see Berber kasbahs and beautiful agricultural land before arriving in Zagora at the edge of the Sahara. In Zagora you will trek into the desert, visiting traditional villages, the Erg Chegaga dunes, and much more over three days in the amazing desert, before returning to Marrakech for departure.
Day 1: Arrival Marrakech
A Memphis Tours driver will meet you at Marrakech Menara Airport and escort you to your hotel. Check into your room and enjoying the evening dining and relaxing in Marrakech.
Day 2: Marrakech - Ouarzazate – Zagora
After breakfast at your hotel, an English speaking guide will pick you up to cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi N’Tichka pass (2260 m alt) to Zagora. The route offers spectacular natural beauty and charming Berber villages. You will stop to visit Ait Benhaddou, considered the most beautiful and well-preserved kasbah in the south of Morocco, and have the option to enjoy lunch in a local restaurant overlooking the valley before continuing to Zagora. The “gateway to the desert”, as Zagora is known, is a large village in a palm-lined oasis watered by the Draa River on the edge of the Sahara. Check into your hotel and enjoy dinner and overnight in Zagora.

Day 3: Zagora Tour
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before a full free day in and around Zagora. You will visit M’hamid Ghizlane (80 km from Zagora) to explore the Erg Chegaga dunes and the Hamadda of Draa, where caravans of camels still pass on the way to Zagora. After an afternoon exploring the desert you will return to your hotel for dinner and another night in Zagora.

Day 4: Zagora - Marrakech Sightseeing
After breakfast at your hotel, a driver will transfer you to Marrakech with an optional stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a tour of the main sites in Marrakech and the city’s souks before settling into your hotel for dinner and your final night in Morocco.

Day 5: Final Departure
Have breakfast at your hotel before being transferred to Marrakech Menara Airport for departure.
