Hello, I'm Ahmed Rezk
I was born in Mansoura. I lived most of my life time moving from Mansoura and Cairo. I love Egypt's history that’s why I chose to be a tour guide. I'm fond of working as a tour guide to show Egypt’s culture, history and civilization in a different touristic and interesting way. I studied archeology, egyptology and history in Suez canal University. Since I graduated I was working in different sites all over Egypt like Cairo,Alexandria,Luxor ,Aswan,Abu-Simple, Egypt's Oasis and doing alot of safari tours. My favorite sites are the Pyramides ,Karnak Complex ,Abu-Simple and Valley of the kings.
I like working with any guests with different nationalities. I’m interested in working with groups having kids as I know exactly how I can introduce the Egyptian history in a beautiful and interesting way.
- I'm graduated from Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Bachelor in guidance section, Suez Canal University.

“Memphis Tours - The Best of Egypt”
My Mum and I have just returned from an 11 night ‘Best of Egypt’ tour with Memphis. We had a wonderful trip, made possible by the excellent staff of Memphis tours and characterised by the kindness and hospitality of the Egyptian people. We found Cairo, and Egypt as a whole to be safe, friendly and fascinating. We were obviously aware of the political changes underway at the moment, and even visited Tahrir square to take a look at the ongoing (peaceful) protest camp. Sadly, the uncertainly has badly affected the tourist industry – the bonus for visitors at the moment being the privilege of visiting temples, pyramids and tombs with no queues, and the incredible opportunity of photographing some of Egypt’s top tourist sites with only locals, camels and donkeys in the foreground.
I had never travelled with a private tour guide – normally I organise my own travel and activities – and this was a real taste of luxury. I now know what the queen must feel like to be chauffeured from place to place and treated like royalty!
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Memphis for its attentive, experienced and very welcoming service. Special mention must go to our guides – Sahl in Cairo, Ahmed (Mido) on the Nile cruise and Gomaa in Sharm; they made our stay extra special.

This was our first time to Egypt. Before that, Memphis Tours already arranged everything and gave us a detail itinerary by email. Our trip was from May 29 to June 6. My wife and I arrived at Cairo Airport at 2 AM. A representative, Mr. Abd Fatah had been waiting for us in the airport for couple hours. He made us feel the most welcome to Egypt. Next day Abd took us sightseeing the city of Cairo and explained our itinerary one more time in detail. We visited Mosques, markets and also taste the Egyptian mint tea. On the following day, we met our Cairo tour guide Mr. Ahmed. He brought us to visit Giza Pyramids, Cairo Egyptian Museum and Hanging Church. He is kind, knowledgeable and professional. My wife and I also rode a Camel in front of Giza Pyramids which made us feel like going back to the ancient Egyptian time.
After that we flew from Cairo to Aswan for Nile River Cruise trip for four days and three nights to destination Luxor. There we met another tour guide, Mr. Ahmed Rezk. He is expert in history of all Temples (we visited Abu Simbil Tow Temples, Philae Temple, Kom Ombo Temple, Edfu Temple, Al-Deir Al-Bahari Temple, Luxor Temple, and Karnak Temple), also the Valley of the Kings, the Unfinished Obelisk, high/low dam and Nubian Village in Aswan and Luxor. Through his guide, we witnessed the great construction and art work of the Ancient Egypt. Mr. Ahmed Rezk stayed with me and my wife all of time in Aswan and Luxor. He was willing and happy to assist us at any time. He is also kind, knowledgeable and professional. He also taught us some simple greetings in Egyptian.
Thank you for Memphis Tours' great effort in arranging our trip. Special thanks to Mr. Abd Fatah (representative), Mr. Ahmed (Cairo tour guide) and Mr. Ahmed Rezk (Aswan/Luxor tour guide). They are all fluent in English. My wife and I highly recommend them to all people who are interested in visit Egypt.
If you are in Egypt for a week or more, consider flying down to Luxor where the pace is slower; A breath of fresh air compared to the insanity of Cairo. My friends and I braved the chaos in Cairo then booked a tour with memphis tour group. Our guide, Ahmed rezk, gave accurate accounts of the history of the sites. He also created a personalized tour for my friends and I. We told him what we wanted to do and he arranged it. It was a great way to see Luxor as it allowed us to freedom to see tourist sights on our own time. We visited Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's Temple, Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple. Ahmed also took us to a local papyrus studio where the artists make papyrus then paint local scenes. The result is a beautiful work of Egyptian art.
I also felt safe being led through Luxor with Ahmed. He is a great choice of a tour guide if you are traveling alone or in a small group.
If you want a change of pace on your Egypt tour I suggest heading south to the Upper Nile and catch a tour with Ahmed rezk
