Day 1: Sunday

Transfer from Luxor Airport or station or from your hotel in Luxor to visit of the KARNAK Temple. Then transfer with air conditioned coach to Esna where Albatros Dahabeya is at anchor. Welcome on board. Check in and dinner.

Day 2: Monday

Visit the ESNA temple with the wonderful pillared hall. Then your tour of the Nile starts: It is the beginning of the sailing with the Dahabeya. The first night, we moor on the Nile where it is possible to visit a typical Egyptian farm.

Day 3: Tuesday

We sail to El Kab, old city with its great wall of mud bricks erected at the XXVIII th dynasty and which remains in ruins. A little later, dug into the hillside, the necropolis of El Kab delivers very important information on the beginnings of the XVIII th dynasty. Here, several tombs containing military chronicles about the expulsion of the Hyksos, like the tomb of Ahmose, Abana’son and the beautiful Paheri tomb. 4 tombs of priests and soldiers of the New Kingdom with paintings of funeral rituals and scenes of farm life can be visited. Then, sail to Edfu, to visit the Temple of the Graeco-Roman period, dedicated to Horus, probably one of the best preserved in the country. The night we moor at an island.

Day 4: Wednesday

Sail and visit the site of Jebel El Silsila, with rocks engraved with hieroglyphic inscriptions. Jebel El Silsila is where the Nile valley is narrower, squeezed between two mountain ranges. Visit quarries that were used to build the temples of Upper Egypt and the tombs which overlook the river: The shrine of Horemheb, sanctuary carved into the rock and dedicated to the Pharaoh of the same name, the memorial chapel of Seti I, Ramesses II, Merneptah and the stella of Ramses III. Sailing and dinner ashore with Egyptian music.

Day 5: Thursday

We sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Greco-Roman temple, dedicated to two deities: Sobek, the Crocodile God, and Haroeris, the Falcon God. This temple is symmetrical with two entrances, two halls and two sanctuaries. Besides the interest of this double sanctuary, the temple enjoys a unique location overlooking the Nile. Sailing to Daraw and visit the market with the camels coming from Sudan. Then visit a Nubian house.

Day 6: Friday

After breakfast, it's time to leave the Dahabeya Albatros. Transfer by air conditionned coach to Aswan City. Visit Philae Temple, the "pearl of Egypt", dedicated to Isis. Visit the granite quary with the Unfinished Obelisk, also visit the famous HIGH DAM that is at the origin of the Lake Nasser or visit the Souk. Then transfer to Aswan Airport or station for departure.

    Prices are quoted in US Dollars per person per trip and valid through April 30.2013 except during Christmas, New Year & Easter holidays. Single room occupancy is applied for those coming with other and prefer single occupancy. So there will be a different rate for solo traveler.

    Reservations should be made as early as possible to book the desired Egypt tour, spaces will be secured upon receive a deposit of 25 %, and during the Christmas and New Year holidays and tour packages inclusive international airfare the required deposit is 50%. This deposit forms part of your final payment. Deposits can only be made by credit cards, wire transfer and or Western Union

  • Egypt Entry Visa

    You need to have a valid passport at least 6 months beyond your scheduled return date to enter Egypt and you can obtain a visa from the Egyptian Consulate before departure. Also, entry visa is available upon arrival Egypt airports against USD 15 per passport for specific nationalities and need to check before.

  • Sleeper Trains in Egypt

    Sleeper trains are designed and equipped according to a satisfactory standard and quality that was set up by the Egyptian Railway Authority. Sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan is about 14 hours and sleeping train from Luxor to Cairo is about 11 hours.

  • Additional Entry Tickets

    All our Egypt tour packages and programs don't include entrance fees to special archaeological sites such as entering one of the Pyramids inside, to visit the Mummies Room at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, to visit the Solar Boat Museum at the Pyramids area or to enter the Tomb of Tutankhamen at Valley of the Kings in Luxor
